Professional Interests:
In addition to the design and creation of computational media, I am interested in cultural history, politics, drawing, and auto mechanics. My most significant interest outside my current professional direction, however, is the performing arts, particularly theater and music. I worked for several years in management and production for Columbia Artists and as a stage manager running shows for sketch comedy and long-form improvisation performances at Chicago City Limits and The Upright Citizens Brigade theater.
Production and Programming Skills:
Processing, JavaScript, ActionScript 3.0 & 2.0, HTML5, CSS, Prototype, Scriptaculous, AJAX, JSON, XML, PHP, MySQL, Ruby on Rails, Objective-C, Perl, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, FlashLite 2.0, ProTools and SONAR.
Personal:
I was born just outside of New York City, but my parents raised our family in Gainesville, Florida after my father moved his biochemistry lab from Rutgers University to the University of Florida.
My wife is Margaret Martin, a lawyer in Brooklyn, NY for the Legal Aid Society where she specializes in the defense of those accused of major felonies and those crimes potentially facing capital punishment.
In June of 2007, Margaret gave birth to our son, Sam.
